This project and scarf was designed and founded by the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marine parent network.

For more information about this and other projects for the Marines please see the MOM 4R MARINES Website.

Any individuals that would like to help with this project may do so. Your help is sincerely appreciated!!

Once your scarf is made please put the scarf in a one gallon zip lock bag, press as much air out as possible then zip the bag. One scarf per bag please.

Due to lack of storage space at MOM 4R MARINES Yarn & Thread by Lisa has agreed to store the scarves. So you are welcomed to send your finished and packaged scarves to:
Yarn & Thread by Lisa
905 E State Hwy 33
Crete, NE 68333

We are working very closely with Patty Lewis, President of MOM 4R MARINES to make sure the supplies for the scarves are available and that the finished scarves are prepared for shipping properly. We will store them until Oct. In Oct we will ship all the scarves at one time to Patty so she can ship them to the Marine Battalions in Iraq.

Of course this extra shipping does mean an additional expense. Unfortunately the extra shipping can not be helped. MOM 4R MARINES does not have the space to store the scarves, but we do.

While we at Yarn & Thread by Lisa are honored to be able to help. Any amount that you would care to donate for the shipping of these scarves would be greatly appreciated. Basically we figure the scarves are going to cost between .25 - .50 cents each to ship. You are welcome to use the donate button below if you would like a receipt for your donation. Or, you can just tuck the money in with your scarves when you ship them to us.

We will gladly give you recognition for your donation. Please see the link below for our list of donors. We list only the first name, your state and the amount donated. No personal information is shared.

Any additional money from donations that is not used to ship the scarves will be donated to MOM 4R MARINES.

See our list of donors:

If you would like to make a donation but do not wish to donate using PayPal you are welcome to send your donation in with your scarves. You will still receive recognition for your donation.
